Covert tracking devices are housed in a weather resistant box slightly larger than a deck of cards, it is installed under a vehicle and held with magnets. The internal battery lasts from 7 to 21 days depending on frequency of locates scheduled... other housings are available with battery packs lasting 3 to 6 months.
The device can be programmed for motion activation with preset location intervals from 5 seconds to any number of minutes/hours once every 24 hours depending or your requirements.
In additon to viewing the track history or real-time location on a computer, tablet or smartphone, notification of location changes can be sent by direct to you by email or SMS text message.
These units are for family or fleet vehicle tracking... the device simply plugs into the vehicles on-board diagnostics (OBD) port located under the dash and provides a report of when the ignition was turned on and off, geofence alerts, travel speed as well as the recorded GPS locations.
They may be installed directly in the OBD port or covertly hidden using an OBD cable adapter.
